Welcome to Cappadocia

Welcome to Cappadocia

welcome to Cappadocia or the closest thing to mars on planet earth in this Post I'm going to show you some incredible landscapes 2 000 year old castles and some of the coolest things you can do in Cappadocia.

okay it's 6 40 p.m and after about six hours of flights and buses and standing in the wrong baggage claim area for 30 minutes (J) oh we just followed those f****** people,Success!

we've made it to Cappadocia cute cats here too first impressions of Cappadocia?  I mean I'm blown away people actually living up there?  there's windows and doors receptions on the top floor

oh wow

no ooooh no (laughs)

okay we're at the rooftop of our hotel this place is so [ __ ] cool

it's a nice rooftop.it's 5 17 am and I slept for three hours.how do you feel J? I'm pretty good Ready to go. It should be one degree above freezing. Let's go! Yep They're here, we're late Champagne time. (Spanish) champagne You excited?  (J) For some champagne? Yeah I'm not (laughs) we will say all together:  one two  three and boom okay?

Cheers! I feel like an Instagram model We should do the one with the clink in the middle, Clink. Clink This is the Instagram moment of the day. That was one of the more epic sunrises I've seen in a while. I think the most epic thing about today was our sound system which was a cell phone also there was a champagne ceremony at the end which was exactly, what I did in Mexico city four years ago for those of you who've been following , this channel for a while at this time they're saying.

it's gonna explode and everyone was walking away and i was like how bad could it be and then the [ __ ] champagne got all over my screen the rest of my camera and now it's all sticky but yeah I think we're gonna head back to the hotel and continue on to our next adventure.Back in the city of dick shaped houses. it's 3:18 p.m. i basically spent the whole day sleeping Now we're gonna get some doner and then go on a horseback riding trip.

i think the way to make doners or wraps here are very similar to how they make tacos, the pastor ones, in Mexico. Also very very similar to how they make shawarmas in Bangladesh but that's a lot more juicy a lot less dry and lot less hard the texture-wise We're at this place called Sunrise point.

which is a eight minute walk away from where we live and this is not the best way to face  the best view is that way towards Goreme which is the town where we're staying which I guess it's like the most touristy part of Cappadocia. And also cute dogs here just. like everywhere else in Turkey

Welcome to Cappadocia

we're at the horse farm you can't tell from the helmet. Look at all these horsies.the horse's name is Mukta. What's your name? (Eren) okay nice to meet you Eren. What's your name?  Nadir. Where are you from? Bangladesh but it's a Turkish name I know, how's your ass? My legs are so sore

okay we're taking a 20-minute break from riding horses,so far both mine and J's horses are being controlled by some other dudes and at first i wasn't happy about that, but then like the cliff drops are starting to get more dangerous, so it's maybe good to have someone else controlling it

big size 20 20 40. we're back at our hotel.. you can come in yeah. How was your first bidet experience? we have five hours or six hours of exploring time tomorrow and a lot of places  we wanted to go so we just.. (narration) so we rented a car because the plan was to wake up at 7 00 am and drive around Cappadocia but then we forgot to set our alarms right.

it's 11 45 a.m and nothing went according to plan ,because we accidentally slept in until 11 a.m .so we obviously didn't wake up at seven to get breakfast and go on all these hikes but we still have a little more than two hours till our shuttle picks us up for the airport .so we're gonna try to make the most of those two hours and at least use the car we got here's the open air museum that we don't have time to see right now

Welcome to Cappadocia

all right we're on the road. This is not going to be cinematic, It's going to be just everything I can fit in into this morning while seeing some stuff.  We're getting cookies for breakfast, the breakfast of champions. This car sounds [ __ ] up by

the way. (J) I know we're at our first stop of the day Orthahisar Castle which is right just behind me and it looks largely under renovation.it's a pretty nice view though over here kind of looks like the rest of Cappadocia we definitely went down the wrong way .the first time but I think we're on the right track okay castle is closed right now because it's raining. That's the reason right?

it rained this morning. It did yeah.  next spot yeah that wasn't as successful as we hoped it would be but we're going to the next town of Uchisar to see this famous valley called Pigeon Valley we're at Pigeon valley as you can probably guess from all the pigeons around us we're going down the valley or a little bit down because we don't have time to

do the full hike .yeah I'm not gonna try to do that with the backpack. So just a minute into the hike you can see these pigeon holes and these have been around for thousands of years because pigeons were apparently very important back in the days for fertilization purposes quick tip: if you're staying in Cappadocia, which is the whole region,

most people stay in Goreme (town) because that's where the hot air balloon rides are from but there's this nearby town which is only a 10 minute drive away called Uchisar with the castle and we think the views are honestly a lot better from here than it was from Goreme although Goreme was pretty beautiful by itself and you could probably also get a hot air balloon ride arranged from here

so if we were to do it again we would stay over here. we don't know what the name of this place is but this viewpoint is actually better than the pigeon valley lookout point. Drive for two minutes past pigeon valley and you'll see this incredible view. i'm gonna shoot the outro for this vlog here because we have to rush back to our hotel find J's  (phone) charger and then take the shuttle back to the airport. That's it for Cappadocia.

I'll be back again from another place in Turkey and if you want to get more real-time updates on. I'll catch you guys on the next one. that is so cool!
